WHY KEFALONIA

A Natural Amphitheatre. A Private Fleet. An Unforgettable Premiere.

The Ionian Islands stand out as one of the most breathtaking sailing regions globally, distinguished by their lush greenery, pristine white sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and charming villages.

Kefalonia serves as the ultimate canvas for a floating film festival, offering a maritime backdrop that is as cinematic as the films we will be screening. Far from the predictable crowds of land-based events, FLOW transforms the Ionian Sea into an exclusive floating amphitheatre.

With its dramatic mountainous coastline and the architectural charm of harbours like Fiscardo, Sivota Bay or Assos, the island provides a series of natural, ready-made venues.

Indulge in a cinematic journey at our state-of-the-art venue, designed to elevate your festival experience. Get ready to be transported into the world of cinema like never before.

Itinerary

Sailing from the modern hub of Lefkas Marina to the "Odyssean" landscapes of the southern Ionian allows the festival to connect modern digital art with ancient storytelling traditions. This is where the world's oldest stories were born, making it the most meaningful stage for contemporary filmmakers. This route offers a boutique festival experience that is impossible to replicate on land.

Saturday

Night

Lefkas Its central location makes it the perfect starting point for cruising to nearby islands like Meganisi, Ithaca, and Kefalonia. Lefkas Marina (also known as D-Marin Lefkas) is widely considered one of the most modern and well-equipped marinas in the Mediterranean. Since its opening in 2002, it has functioned almost as a "town within a town," offering high-end nautical services and Greek island hospitality. Accessibility: Lefkada is connected to the mainland by a small bridge, making the marina easily accessible by car. It is about a 20-minute drive from Aktion International Airport (PVK).

Sunday

Atokos Remote golf + Movies + Afterparty

Located about 20 nautical miles southeast of Lefkas, this small, uninhabited island is a mandatory stop for anyone sailing the Ionian. It is privately owned by a Greek shipping magnate, but visitors are allowed to land on its beaches, provided they respect the environment. In recent years, Atokos has gained international fame as "Greece's Pig Island." A small population of friendly, semi-wild black pigs lives on the beach at One House Bay.

Monday

Sivota is a charming, horseshoe-shaped bay located on the southeastern coast of Lefkada island. It is one of the most popular overnight stops for yachts in the Ionian Sea. Picturesque and intimate, the village is nestled at the end of a deep "fjord-like" inlet surrounded by olive groves and green hills.

Tuesday

Asos Remote golf + Movies + Afterparty

Perched on a tiny peninsula on the northwest coast of Kefalonia, Asos (or Assos) is frequently cited as one of the most beautiful villages in the entire Mediterranean. It is a place where time seems to have slowed down, offering a sense of "old-world" Greece that is increasingly rare to find. The village is built on a narrow strip of land connecting the mainland of Kefalonia to a massive, rugged hill topped by a 16th-century Venetian Castle. The contrast is striking: the village is a splash of soft pastel colours (pinks, creams, and yellows) set against the deep turquoise of the Ionian Sea and the dark green of the surrounding cypress and pine trees.

Wednesday

Fiskardo is located at the northernmost tip of the island, it is widely considered the "Saint-Tropez of the Ionian”. Fiskardo is unique because it was one of the very few villages left almost entirely untouched by the devastating 1953 earthquake. Because of this, it retains its original Venetian architecture and aristocratic charm. You’ll find rows of two-story houses painted in vibrant ochre and terracotta, featuring elegant balconies and tiled roofs that date back centuries.

Thursday

Meganisi Remote golf + Movies + Afterparty

Meganisi is the "hidden gem" of the Ionian, a lush, flower-shaped island located just a few miles off the coast of Lefkada. Its name ironically means "Big Island," yet it is wonderfully small, intimate, and shaped by deep, fjord-like bays that make it a paradise for sailors and those seeking total tranquillity. Meganisi is famous for its "lace-like" coastline. The northern side of the island is carved into dozens of deep, emerald-green coves (such as Abelake and Kapali) that offer perfect natural shelter.
