A new kind of film festival is setting sail.

FLOW – Film Lovers on Water brings cinema, sailing, music and unforgettable experiences together across the Ionian Sea, Greece.

We are looking for fresh, creative and uplifting short films from filmmakers around the world.

Your film could be part of our first edition — and its journey might even take you aboard with us.

WHO CAN SUBMIT?

Filmmakers from anywhere in the world.

There are no geographical restrictions. You can submit more than one film, and multiple submissions from the same director are welcome.

ELIGIBILITY

To be considered for the FLOW 2026 selection, films must:

• be short films of maximum 25 minutes;

• have been released in 2026;

• be produced in any language, but must include English subtitles;

• be submitted with all required information and materials;

• have all necessary rights and permissions for public screening.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

FLOW is not just about watching films. It's about the feeling you leave with.

Our selection team will consider:

1. THEME - We are looking for light, engaging and uplifting stories, preferably with a playful or humorous touch.

FLOW is a celebration of cinema, sailing, friendship and freedom — so we want films that complement the positive spirit of the festival experience.

2. CREATIVITY - Original ideas, unexpected perspectives, distinctive voices and stories that stay with you.

3. VISUAL QUALITY - Strong cinematography, creative visual language and an overall compelling visual experience.

THE FLOW SELECTION

Our festival organizers will review all eligible submissions and select the films that best capture the spirit of FLOW.

 

The official selection will be announced on September 15, 2026.

YOUR FILM SETS SAIL.

Your film could take you all the way to the sea.

Win a spot aboard our catamarans at the next FLOW edition.

During the festival, the audience will have the chance to vote for their favorite film.

The filmmaker whose film receives the highest audience vote will be invited to join us at the next edition of FLOW — aboard one of our sailing yachts.

Because at FLOW, the audience doesn't just watch the films.

They become part of the journey.

SCREENING RIGHTS

By submitting a film, the filmmaker confirms that they hold, or have obtained, all necessary rights and permissions required for the film to be publicly screened at FLOW – Film Lovers on Water.

By submitting the film, the filmmaker also grants the Festival the non-exclusive right to screen the selected film during the 2026 edition of FLOW, as well as at associated previews, retrospectives and other FLOW-related festival events, for a period of two years from the date of submission, without transferring ownership of the film or any underlying rights.

For the winning film, the Festival reserves the right to screen the film at future FLOW retrospectives and festival-related events without a fixed end date, subject to the terms communicated to and accepted by the rights holder.

The filmmaker retains all ownership and intellectual property rights in the submitted work.
